ALIVE is the student ministry of Village Meadows Baptist Church. It's open to all students who are 7th grade through 12th grade. We're a growing group and we always love new people, so come check us out and bring a friend too.
Sunday School - All youth begin in Room 208. 9:30 am - 10:30 am
We use the KNOWN curriculum from Lifeway. Each week we look at different topics that are very relevant to teenage lives. We have some incredible couples that lead each class and are fantastic teachers.
High School is taught by Brain and Becky Claassen in room 209.
Middle School is taught by Jon and Melanie Stutzman in room 201.
Small Groups/D-Time
During the school semester we meet in church member homes divided by age groups. Check with Pastor TJ on where you student will be. They can ride the church bus to their home group and back to church. We look at a video based curriculum and discussions are held about various topics/books of the Bible each week. These conversations are lead by some of our awesome youth staff volunteers and Pastor TJ.
During Summer and Christmas Break, we meet at the church for D-Time (Discipleship Time.) D-Time is all about hands on learning and getting in tune with what is happening all over the world and how we can make a difference in it.
ALIVE
ALIVE is the name if our ministry and our Wednesday night youth worship service. We spend some time in the FLC (Family Life Center) playing games. We have a prayer time together and our student praise team leads us in worship. Pastor TJ teaches a message each week. It's always a great high energy night of worship. You won't leave disappointed or the same.
Mission trips, church camp, paintball, bowling. gym
nights. human phooseball, prayer walks, visitation, Christmas Caroling,
pizza, ice cream, movies, swimming, worship services with other youth
groups, See You at the Pole, athletic events, trips to Tucson and
Phoenix, the Grand Canyon, go carts, capture the flag, spoons, Vacation
Bible School, Service Projects, birthday celebrations, retreats,
fundraisers, and lots of hanging out together, cause that's what a
church family does.
